Ronnie Gould

Ronnie’s animals appear to have a life force of their own. They reflect their animal pride and distinction. Each sculpture is individually hand-built in stoneware to enhance the animal’s own unique movements, expressions, and personality.

The finish firing varies from raku, smoke, or saggar over colored slips and stains. By manipulating the firings, certain results are attained, but the lick of the flame and smoke leave their own signature.

Just as animals have their own personalities, the firing processes add unique and exciting characteristics to the sculptures.
